See Your Human Rights

Youth for Human Rights International just produced 30 public service announcements (PSAs), one for each of the rights laid out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. You can see some of them on the organizations home page (click the title of this blog entry). I have a DVD with all 30 PSAs on it and they are awesome. The quality is state-of-the-art and each ad gets the message across of what the featured human right is all about.

What you become

Here is something from the Personal Achievement Series of Lectures by L. Ron Hubbard:
Now it is very, very true that man has a very definite alignment with this law: That which you resist you become. There's another little clause that belongs on the bottom of it: if you lose.
Think about that one for a while and I'm sure you can see a lot of examples of the loser starting to look like or copy the mannerisms of the winner.

The Way to Happiness Available on Jordanian Portal

The Way to Happiness is a common sense book containing guideline for the application of sound principles of conduct such as honesty, integrity, tolerance and competence.

I just found a Jordanian web portal that is offering a free download of the book in over 90 languages! Some of the languages I've never even heard of (like "Ewe" and "Kyrgyz"). I had no idea it had been translated so broadly.

Security

In his book Science of Survival, L. Ron Hubbard said:
The highest form of security is confidence in one's self, in the future, in the group and in mankind

Because it can handle the reasons for not having confidence in one's self and others, Scientology can enable you to reach this high level of security.

Youth for Human Rights Vidcast

Youth for Human Rights now has a vidcast! The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ratified by the United Nations in 1948, form the foundation of everyone's most basic human rights. Youth for Human Rights has produced a visual presentation of each of the 30 human rights laid out by this document. The purpose of Youth for Human Rights International is to educate young people in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights so they become valuable advocates for tolerance and peace.

If you are using iTunes, you can subscribe by selecting “Advanced/Subscribe to Podcast…” and entering the following URL: (note: I've had to chop it in half because it is so long, so you'll have to copy and paste the two parts separately and join them together. Make sure there is no space between the two parts once you paste them)

The full url is in this link: Youth for Human Rights Vidcast

If you are not able to view a vidcast, you may still view the public service announcements from the Youth for Human Rights website.
