Scientology Axiom 1

Axiom 1: Life is basically a static.
DEFINITION: A life static has no mass, no motion, no wavelength, no location in space or in time. It has the ability to postulate and to perceive.

The force we call Life is not the same thing as matter, energy, space or time (the things that make up the physical universe). It is not definable or measurable in terms of the physical universe. However, it can create and cause things to happen (postulate) and it can perceive.

Postulate (noun): A postulate is a causative thought. It's a thought that can cause something. It can create or change or destroy, start or change or stop.

Postulate (verb): To make a postulate.
